Do you ever feel nuts and kind of whacky after being on a high for several days while pursuing a successful dream and endeavor? Today, 9/13/2012 has been one such day. My guides tell me that it is natural to feel out of sorts when we come to those fork in the roads of destiny. It is at such places in our life that we have the opportunity to move forward to the next phase of our soul growth and expansion. With so much oncoming change,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], the ego or 'little me', as I refer to our personality/human self, can feel overwhelmed or even scared at times. What to do? Keep busy. Keep writing. Take some deep breaths. Spend time in nature. Indulge a little in a vice or two is what my guides recommend. For just as Nature's weather events must run their course, so must the storms of change in our life run their course.
This was a very busy summer. My publisher hired a marketing company who created an author's program via a phone session on a weekly basis. We had lots of information given to us and homework to do. It was rewarding but time consuming. We can state how much we want to create success and abundance but when it comes down to the nitty gritty hard work, often many fall short. Old fears and negative beliefs (we thought we had released long ago) can have a way of showing up. This is a good thing. It is the lack of doing this which accounts for so much hesitation, procrastination and not getting things done. We may claim we want success but wonder why we feel so tired and unmotivated much of the time.

When the anxiety strikes, sometimes the best thing to do is to just keep going. I get performer's adrenalin every time before I offer a public presentation. My webmaster and I worked pretty non-stop for six hours. Then voila, the site was posted. I could hardly wait to get home and sign onto the internet and see my new baby that had just been given birth. I was nervous driving home. "Am I worthy and ready for more success?" I found myself asking. I could see an image of my inner child feeling fear and anxiety which he does every time I undergo major changes in my life.

Assuming we can get past thoughts — and that is a wild assumption at best — then there is the public. We are not the “enlightened” public Thomas Jefferson wanted for the United States. If we were, we would have woken up long ago.
The USA Today recently reported that Marty Makary, a surgeon at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, had written a book about transparency in hospitals and revolutionizing health care. In the interview, he discusses how decisions are made,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], how incompetent doctors are allowed to keep practicing, and a whole bunch of other stuff I have generally seen elsewhere.
I mean, look at the speeches of the current presidential elections that are being dismantled by fact-checkers. I also have never known a hospital-acquired infection official who would not underestimate a bit for the whole hospital. I do not know how much is conscious and how much is just survival. Those who hate doctors will hear only the worst. Those who view docs as loving and paternal might fall in love with them. It was a luncheon meeting of the medical staff and a few administrative types — uncommonly well-catered. There were about 25 folks,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], but only two other women who looked as uncomfortable as I was.
These cases are among those I heard at that meeting,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. They are all engraved in my mind — permanently.
It felt like being in the first or second grade. Scanning my memory, I could not remember having been to a meeting with this kind of rules. I did not want any part of this thing.
From Catholic nuns to trained nurses, to university trained ethicists, many have bent my ear with tales of doctors’ over-sized egos. I have told them that a doctor has to believe in him or herself. Doctors have never really thought other professions to be their peers. Within this context, I fear that transparency shall easily slide into pseudo-transparency.
During my time in hospitals, I was always the junior in a position of weakness. I will readily admit that I have generally avoided whistle-blowing in favor of self-preservation. The culture of physicians “protecting” each other has always been primordial throughout the places I have been.
These infections are more resistant to antibiotics than the ones people bring in from the outside. I was reminded of my professor of bacteriology. As the meeting agenda was passed around,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], the head of the hospital reminded us of the meeting “rules.” We were gently reminded that no recordings were permitted and neither were extraneous notes. We were told that at the end of the meeting they would be collected — and counted — before any of us could leave.

So who should do cardio and when?

Most bodybuilders would agree that cardio is a pain. It is a nuisance and most would just rather stick to weight training only for their excercise. It is perfectly O.K no matter if you're a newbie, or a veteran to start your cutting phase without any cardio. When you first start dieting,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], the act of restricting calories will be enough to start causing fat loss,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], even without cardio.
The Stubborn Fat Protocol is a cardio routine developed by Lyle McDonald,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], a respected author of multiple excercise and diet books. The routine is innovative, but it is based on scientific research.
You will break up your cardio into 2 separate sessions. The first session will be high intensity interval training, or HIIT,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], cardio for 10 minutes. The purpose of this first session is to manipulate the adrenaline / noradrenaline levels to mobilize the fat out of your fat cells. You then take a 5 minute rest after the first session.
The reason why Lyle McDonald says it has to be done this way is because the HIIT portion gets the fat out of the cells,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], but there is a reduced burning effect at the muscle. It is then that you do the low intensity to finally be able to burn the mobilized fat in the muscle. Mcdonald recommends this workout 3 times a week.
Eventually everyone will hit a fat loss plateau, which is when cardio will be a necessity. You can only restrict your calories so much, before you cause your metabolism to crawl to a halt. The cardio will allow a phenomenon called energy flux. Basically what that means is, you will lose fat more effectively if you eat more, but also burn more calories simulatenously. There is a common belief in the mainstream, that for maximum (or even effective fat loss) you need to do some form of regular cardio to lose fat. So if you’ve given money to charity don’t tell anyone about it just do it and guaranteed you’ll feel good about yourself and the world around you.  And even if you don’t get anything in return you will get noticed, but that is not the aim, it’s about noticing yourself and feeling good about yourself that you have given something back to the world. Hopefully this is what I am doing here, I’m giving something back to the world.
If you’ve heard of a Heliotropic plant you’ll know that its stem grows in the direction of the sun so it can take full advantage of the photosynthesis process. I believe we have a Heliotropic Mind as well,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], we want to have positive emotions in our life and if we grow these positive emotions and cultivate them it will put the negative emotions into the shade.
I notice a lot of marketers doing this, they are adopting the emotion of giving, or the feeling of giving,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], with the clients. So they are saying ‘how can I help you?’ instead of saying to clients ‘you need to give me so much money so you can help me make money’. The world is turning just now and everybody is turning outward and the new phrases in the outward world are 'how can I help you?’ What is it that I can do for you? The way to start that is to reflect on your past success. Every single person in the world has a past success no matter how small let that small success drive you forward. That small success could be the next step to a bigger success and then another and another etc. So cultivate confidence in your life by looking at past experiences and getting yourself into a state of confidence.
The last emotion is the gift of giving. What I mean is doing good for people without expecting anything in return at all just do something nice for someone just for the sake of it,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], don’t expect anything in return that includes even a thank you.

The next emotion is one of energy, maybe when you have felt energised in the past you probably all felt elation,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], excitement, pleasure etc. Try and cultivate that  by looking at what excites you and elicits energy. Obviously if your body has really slowed down it’s an indication that you need to change something about your lifestyle to give you more energy in your life. So try and look at that and the feeling of cultivating the emotion energy in your life as well.
The second emotion to cultivate is  passion. Without passion there is no way I would have been able to write 450 articles on this blog. But, ultimately I really believed that I could help people to change their lives if they want to . It might not be in this fashion, it might be in book form or on my blog which has been established for years, but what I knew was that if I had the passion, drive and knowledge then I would succeed.
The next emotion we could try and cultivate is one of confidence. If you don’t have confidence in yourself then you really won’t have confidence in the world around you.
I acknowledge every day that I’m blessed,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], not only to myself but to those around me, and for what I have and I’m really grateful of everything. Now I’m a silent gratitude person, I say it inwardly, my wife on the other hand is more external. She appreciates everyone outwardly, when she is feeling a particular emotion, she actually verbalises it to whoever it may be, she also expresses it by non-verbal communication. I show it by my actions as well as by acknowledging it internally. Some people keep a gratitude journal, one of my blogging friends Zeenat Syal keeps a gratitude journal and has blogged about this.
5 - Positivity
This acknowledgment only takes a couple of seconds and I say thanks, not to anyone really other than them, although I acknowledge that we each have different beliefs and I respect that, but for me I thank the people. I’m also thankful for the inanimate objects in my life; car, computer etc.  I know they aren’t people or living entities but they do help to enrich my life.
2. Passion
The next emotion for cultivation is positivity. I know a lot of people say positivity doesn’t really work. It’s unrealistic to expect the feeling of positivity to last throughout the day, especially in this day and age when there are so many pressures on everyone and it’s only natural to feel negative. How else can you truly appreciate the positive emotions in our lives?

Involuntary movement, as in the identifying rolling tremor, is usually the first noticeable symptom of PD. In PD, the brain’s dopamine production diminishes. Since dopamine is an important pleasure center, PD takes away a lot of the ability to take joy in life. PD also takes away initiative. My take-any-hill mother became dependent and fearful. Knowing these problems are part-and-parcel goes a long way in dealing with them.
